With experience ranging from interactive to print to brand, I’m a versatile designer with experience art directing, photographing and defining brand strategy for some of the world’s largest brands.
I graduated in 2003 from John Brown University with a degree in Digital Media and minor in Illustration. My focus at that point was 3D animation, so after graduation I landed an internship at a small studio in Orange County, CA. The company produced a children’s animated series, however they weren’t in production at the time. I worked to develop brand and marketing materials for them and ended up doing a complete redesign of their site. Thus started my path into the interactive world. Once my internship was over, I worked for a local photographer editing wedding and family shoots as well as designing photo books and wedding and photographer websites. At that point I had to decide if I wanted to pursue a photography path or keep going with interactive. I chose to start working for an interactive agency, and the rest is history.
Currently I work for the Dell Global Brand Creative team where I keep busy supporting our internal clients as well as helping define brand strategy, specifically how it relates to the interactive space. I’ve also spent a significant amount of time developing a four-hour class geared toward marketers that explores what creativity is, how it impacts business and how to harness it in your everyday work life. The class is currently offered in the US and has recently been taught in our France offices.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband, our son and dog. You’ll also find me baking up something fancy, recovering my dining room chairs or planning my next diy project.
