Quilted Letters

Quilted Letters Detail

Here’s a fun project I worked on with a friend of mine. We took a day to go scrapbooking and she suggested I decorate some letters. So I made these to go in my sewing room. Since I love quilts and quilting, I decided to carry that into the scrapbooking. The quiting effect was done by cutting individual squares of paper with a paper punch, gluing them to the letters, trimming them with an xacto knife and then finishing it off with drawing “stiches” around the “ditch”.

Very cool. How big are the wooden letters? And are they for hanging on the wall?

The letters are about 6 inches high and I purchased them at Michaels. They come already painted white and have a hole in the bottom for a wooden stick, but no hanger. They sit quite nicely on their own. I’m going to put mine on a shelf on the wall, but if you’d like to hang them all you would need are some small picture frame hangers that you can get at your local Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Aaron Brothers, etc.

    Love the letters!!!
I went at Michaels when I was at San Antonio. Seems I went to the right place to get some quilt magazines.
