Handmade Quilts and more

Here’s a simple, elegant and earthy invitation I designed for our friends’ wedding shower.

This crib skirt was made for baby Jonathan to compliment his chocolate and turquoise quilt. We decided to go with two main fabrics for a more eclectic look and used the brown edging with turquoise stitching to tie it all together.

Here’s a fun project I worked on with a friend of mine. We took a day to go scrapbooking and she suggested I decorate some letters. So I made these to go in my sewing room. Since I love quilts and quilting, I decided to carry that into the scrapbooking. The quiting effect was done by cutting individual squares of paper with a paper punch, gluing them to the letters, trimming them with an xacto knife and then finishing it off with drawing “stiches” around the “ditch”.
